Lifestyle Recommendations to Prevent Eye Disease

 

If you have Diabetes, we also recommend:


1. Benfotiamine, 150 mg three times each day ( with meals)

2.  Alpha lipoic acid, slow release, 300 mg eah day ( discontinue or lower dosage if you have trouvle sleeping)

3.  pycnogenol (pine bark extract), 100 mg daily

4.  CoQ10, 100 mg twice each day if you are on a "statin" medication for cholesterol.

5. Keep your A1C test result < 6.5% and your blood pressure < 125/80
